Welcome to "His Name Is Jesus"
Hello, my name is Marcia. I'm so glad you stopped by. As you visit, you'll find Bible study lessons and discipleship training, all of which are intended to encourage each of us, to both become, and live as Jesus' disciple. On this site, you'll also discover that worship is highly encouraged, all to the honor and glory of our wonderful Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is the desire of my heart that you and I, with each and every breath we take, will "Love the Lord with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength" (Mark 12:30). In God's word, God instructs His true worshipers with the following words ... "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him (John 4:23 KJV). This is the very mandate, given by God, to this ministry ... that mandate being ... we are called of God, to follow His truth, by the power of His Holy Spirit, thus fulfilling His command, that ... from deep within our hearts, we live our lives, daily, as an act of worship unto Him ... (John 4:23-24).
To your right, you'll see a column of links, covering subjects from Bible Treasures, to a Discipleship Course (living our lives from God's point of view), to the subject of Worship and Praise. There is also an Archives link (located at the bottom of each page) and an e-mail address on the "Comments" page where you can send your questions, comments and/or prayer requests, etc. Before signing off, please stop by and sign the Guest Book.
I'd now like to take a moment to say, if you've not yet come the know Jesus Christ, through a personal relationship with Him, and are desiring to do so, perhaps I can be of help. Please know that meeting Jesus in a personal way is not difficult. All that's required is a heart that is completely sincere, and a personal recognition that you need Him in your life. You might be asking yourself "So, why do I need Jesus"? Perhaps I can help you with this question, as well. You see, we all need Jesus as our Savior, because it's through His sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary, that we are saved (saved from the destruction of our very own sin nature). The Word of God tells us there is only "one way" to enter into a relationship with our Heavenly Father (and to experience the promise of eternal life with Him), and that "one way" is through the acceptance of Jesus Christ, God's Son, into our hearts ..."Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). So, you may be asking yourself "What must I do to accept Him"? Perhaps I can help in this area, as well. To "accept" Jesus Christ into your life means you must recognize your need of Him as your Savior. You see, according to God's Word, we were all born into sin ... meaning we are sinners, in need of a Savior (Jesus Christ), who "sinned not", that we might be saved from our sins, through His perfect and complete sacrifice. As you learn more about, and grow in Jesus, you'll discover, through God's Word, that Jesus lived a pure and sinless life (required by God), that through the sacrifice of His death on the Cross, for each one of us, we might spend life "forever in His presence", through His resurrection power. That "forever" begins when you release the care of your life over to Jesus. Once you have done so, there is much you will learn about Jesus, but for now, in order for you to receive Jesus as your Savior, there are but a few things you need to know. You need to know that each of us falls short of a sin free life, and that we need Jesus as our Savior, and, that lastly, to meet Him in a personal way, can be as simple as a "sincere prayer from the heart". If you're unsure of how to pray such a prayer, I'd be honored to help you do so. Please understand, prayer isn't a formula. Rather, it is simply "talking to Jesus", just as you would talk with a friend. He truly is that personal. So, let's talk to Jesus from the depth of our heart ...
Dear Jesus, I need you. I've been living my life on my own, and it's just not working. I continue to fall short of living the life I'd really like to live ... a life not controlled by sin, but rather, a life that is pleasing to You ... a life with You in control, helping me every step of the way. I recognize that I am a sinner, in need of a Savior, and I ask, Jesus, that You would forgive me for all my sins against You. I open the door of my heart to You, and invite You to come in, asking you to cleanse my heart, and, to make me whole. Jesus, I also ask that, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, You help me live every day of my life, loving, serving, and pleasing You. Thank You, Jesus, for forgiving me, and for giving Your life for me. Be my Lord and Savior, I pray, in Your Name Jesus, Amen.
Now that you have reached out to Jesus, continue to do so, each and every day. You see, just as you gave your heart to Jesus, He desires to give His heart to you. This is true one on one friendship! Get yourself an Authorized King James Bible. Another Bible I find very helpful in understanding God's message to me, is the Amplified Bible. Read your bible, and pray (talk to Jesus). Get to know Him. Allow Him to know you. If you have questions, please feel at liberty to write me. I'll do my very best to answer (or find the answer should I not know it), and get back to you promptly. And, always remember this ...
Jesus loves you!
I'd truly love to hear from you.

Whether you've been in fellowship with Jesus for many years, or, if you're a brand new believer, it's my desire, through the study of the God's Word, to guide you into the rich treasures, just waiting to be found. As we walk together, making "promised by God" discoveries, and, as we enter into a depth of rich and meaningful relationship with Him, may each of us become the very servant Jesus so desires us to be. Together, as we call on God, and together, as we study His Word, we will learn of, and experience, His great love towards each of us, as we continue to grow, and to come into an even greater understanding of His unending promises ... promises to all who believe.
